My First Night on Vacation in Two Years
So, USPS "forwarded" my package "to another address." The package with my Christmas gifts for my dad and my brother and the first book I've ever bought on dystonia (none cheaply). I spent an hour and a half on the phone between FedEx and USPS and eventually got a USPS supervisor who basically said, "How am I supposed to know where your Christmas gifts went?"

Near in tears - because between working at a non-profit, my recent health issues, and moving apartments I do not have the money to even buy the Christmas gifts again with expedited shipping - I desperately ordered a call from Amazon. This dude - Jeff - was FUCKING AWESOME.

I'm a bit of a mess when I call because I've spent an hour and a half wrangling postal workers in two companies and trying to get through hold times the weekend before Christmas. He takes my situation and that I want my family to have Christmas gifts and then gets it done. He reshipped my order, expedited, so that I should get it at my parents' house, while my brother and I are frying cannoli and my sister-in-law and mother work on some kabobs.

So everyone knows exactly who I'm ordering from in the future. I'm looking at a couple of big purchases in the next couple of months, since I am moving and looking at incorporating a business.

Also, I'm going to drink some blueberry wine and listen to neighborhood carolers because that was a stressful two hours.

Next time you hear from me, I'm in New York.

Amazon customer service is top notch. They rock and I will always buy from them if it's feasible.
